Concord Jazz announces London Brew, a collaborative project inspired by Miles Davis' Bitches Brew from a rich collection of UK jazz luminaries, including Benji B, Theon Cross, Nubya Garcia, Shabaka Hutchings, Dave Okumu, Tom Skinner and more, brought together by producer and guitarist Martin Terefe and Executive Producer Bruce Lampcov. The first single to land is 'Miles Chases New Voodoo In The Church', a fitting title for a song that fuses gritty punk energy with spiritual jazz. Nubya Garcia's sax carries a possessed energy, as if channeling a spirit from another realm. Crazed electronics from synths and guitars create a disorientating kaleidoscope of sound whilst drums thrash with kinetic power. The guitar is Hendrix-injected, using distorted stabs of chords and wah wobbles, filling the space with psychedelia.
